Scent Experience: Curiosity Shoppe is a scent steeped in mystery, conjuring images of forgotten artifacts, ink-stained parchment, and strange trinkets hidden in shadowy corners. It feels warm yet enigmatic, smoky yet softly inviting, like a place where every object has a hidden story waiting to be discovered. This is hidden library’s sister. they are different, but if you like one you will love the other.
Top Notes (Rosewood, Lignin, Black Pepper, Clove) – The fragrance opens with a rich warmth, as black pepper and clove swirl through the air like the remnants of an old apothecary’s concoction. The deep, resinous scent of rosewood and lignin—evoking the scent of aged book bindings and weathered wooden shelves—sets the stage for a dusty, timeworn intrigue.
Heart Notes (Lavender, Worn Leather, Cedar, Violet, Cade) – As the scent deepens, you are enveloped in the aroma of antique leather-bound tomes, their cracked covers releasing whispers of history. Lavender and violet offer a delicate, almost spectral floral note—like dried petals pressed between brittle pages.
Base Notes (Patchouli, Sandalwood, Smoked Tonka, Guaiacwood, Vanilla) – The fragrance lingers with an earthy, musky depth, where patchouli and sandalwood mix with the smoldering sweetness of smoked tonka and guaiacwood—like the lingering embers of a long-extinguished candle. A touch of vanilla softens the edges, like a whispered secret tucked away in an ancient ledger. Overall this scent is woody, herbal and mysterious. You will get hints of suede, wood, and leather the most.
Our Candles are made with 100% pure soy wax infused with essential oils and phthalate free fragrance. They contain no animal bi products, toxins or additives. Each candle is hand poured into an amber recyclable jar with a metal twist top lid. This is format is perfect for counters, desks, dressers, bedside tables and basically anywhere in your home. The simple design matches most décor and makes a wonderful gift idea as well! Our soy wax is sourced from soybeans grown in the United States. Our candle wicks are made of cotton and contain no lead, zinc or other metals. No ingredients used in this candle are tested on animals.

The first time you light your candle, allow the wax to pool all the way to the outer edges of the glass jar. Allowing a full melt pool guarantees an even burn (no tunneling) and maximum fragrance throw. To ensure optimum scent and a cleaner burn please keep the wick trimmed in between burns.
Always burn candles on a level, heat-resistant stable surface and keep your candle away from any drafts or other heat sources to avoid your candle burning too quick or unevenly.

Want your candle to last longer with minimal soot? Trim the wick to 1/4” before every single burn, and keep it lit for 3-4 hours at a time.

Soy Candles:
• Due to the nature of our 100% pure soy wax, may notice a slight frosting on the top of your candles. This is completely normal and a sign that the candles are, in fact, made with soy wax!
• Soy wax is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
• Soy wax is biodegradable and can be cleaned up with soap and water if spilled.
• Soy candles have a more natural, lighter scent compared to paraffin wax candles. They burn cleaner and do not release potentially harmful petrochemicals into the air while burning, and are great for those who are sensitive to strong headache causing candles in the stores today.

Each item is handmade by me in my small home on long island, NY. Because all of these items are handmade, they may have minor imperfections at times such as: slightly off-centered label or wick, tiny markings on the outside of the jar, textured wax on top (typical with natural waxes), etc. None of these impact the quality of the candle. Please realize that scents are subjective and I appreciate you taking the chance on my aromas without sniffing them first. Some Amber & Oak candles are novelty items and can be non-traditional scents. They are my personal creative interpretation of the story behind the candle and it is possible for you to disagree with the scent.
